Dr Martin Luther 540th Birthday Conference

November 10, 2023 marks the 540th anniversary of the birth of Dr Martin Luther. This significant anniversary calls for a look back at the increasingly important research emphases of Dr Martin Luther's life and work.

Although Dr Martin Luther's publication is possibly the first printed work published in Latvian, research into the life and works of Dr Martin Luther in Latvian only began in the mid-1990s. The past almost three decades have provided space for an in-depth study of the life and work of the reformer and for a discussion of the significance of this legacy today, and it is possible to draw some interim conclusions. Moreover, it is not only possible, but it is also necessary. For this reason, two of the leading research institutions on the life and work of Dr Martin Luther - the Lutheran Heritage Foundation and the Luther Academy - are organizing a joint conference on November 10, 2023. Everyone interested is invited and welcome to the conference.
