The rector of Luther Academy Jānis Vanags has been archbishop of ELCL since 1993. To celebrate Archbishop Vanags 30th anniversary in the episcopate, everyone is invited to the Thanksgiving Day Conference, worship service and fellowship on September 30.
In the academic year 2023/2024, God has blessed Luther Academy with 20 students who are starting their studies in the bachelor's study programme "Theology" and the Open Academy's lifelong learning programme "Theology and Ministry".

In order to promote the proper and worthy worship services of Luther Academy, on the evening of March 29, students, teaching staff and graduates were invited to the seminar "Practice of liturgical ministry".
In order to get to know one of the employers of Luther Academy graduates - Latvian National Armed Forces and the National Guard, on 1 March, 2023, LA students met with two NAF professional service chaplains, majors – acting chief chaplain of NAF, a representative of the Roman Catholic Church, Mareks Savickis, and the senior chaplain of the Military Police, representative of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia, Normunds Celmiņš. They shared their experience and explained the specifics of military chaplain service.
