International conference "Lutheran Reformation: heritage of the past, challenges of today"
On 26-27 May, 2017 an international conference dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Reformation "Lutheran Reformation: The Heritage of the Past, Today's Challenges" will take place in the Riga City Council Hall.
Conference:
- 19 speakers from Latvia and other European countries and the USA will participate with lectures on the impact, importance and challenges of Lutheranism in education, culture, art, theology, mission, as well as ecumenics
- presentation of the translation of Andreas Knopken's Letter to the Romans Explanation/24 thesis
- the concert "Music of the Reformation. Music of the time of Martin Luther and his contemporaries " by the ancient music group "Ars Antiqua Riga"
