Rector of Luther Academy JĀNIS VANAGS elected as honorary member of LAS

Rector of Luther Academy, Archbishop JĀNIS VANAGS has been elected an honorary member of the Latvian Academy of Sciences.

On November 24, 2022, by secret ballot, the general meeting of the Latvian Academy of Sciences (LAS) elected five implementing members, six foreign members and one honorary member, as well as fourteen correspondent members as new members of the LAS. 
The Latvian Academy of Sciences elected Archbishop Jānis Vanags as its honorary member. 
The presentation of LAS diplomas to the newly elected members of the Academy took place on December 20, 2022 in the LAS Portrait Hall.
